Vala is a former Goa'uld host who now lives as a scheming, unscrupulous, thieving con artist. Her first run in with SG1 was when she stole the Earth ship, Prometheus. Daniel and Vala tangled during that fiasco and it earned him a place in her heart. She would later return and cause more trouble for SG1, especially Daniel and was key in helping the team locate information on the Ori. Vala spent a short amount of time with SG1 before Sacrificing herself to stop the first Supergate. This event lead her to the Ori galaxy were she now currently is involved with an Ori plot. Whether willing or unwilling is still up for grabs.
