Daniel was on the first team that went through the Stargate, in fact if it wasn’t for his work, the Stargate may never have been activated. His first love is archeology, but was laughed out of the community for his theories that the pyramids were built to dock space ships of some alien race. Daniel’s theory was proven correct however after the mission to Abedos. Daniel married a girl from the planet but later returned to Earth after his wife was abducted by Apothos, another Goa'uld System Lord. Daniel joined SG1 and has been an invaluable member since.
